Flip Side Watersports

Flip Side Watersports is Alabama’s first cable wakeboard park, on 85-acre Beaver Lake inside Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, just south of Birmingham. One System 2.0 — two towers, historically 817 feet of cable — pulls wakeboard, ski, and tube on a single multiuse course with ramps, rails, and kickers. Basic instruction is included; private lessons book separately. The same shore has Alabama’s first public inflatable aqua park (a floating obstacle course, sessions capped at 30), plus sit-on-top kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards from the Flip Side dock. Check in at the pro shop; light refreshments and fishing bait sit on site. Flip Side also runs a separate non-motorized marina on Double Oak Lake elsewhere in the park.
