Looks like they are rebranding into Auckland Wake Park - AWP in 2026. Rixen NZ brought cable wakeboarding to Auckland in the mid-2010s — a compact Rixen Little Bro two-tower system stretching one-hundred-seventy metres across the sheltered Onehunga Bay Lagoon, ten minutes from the international airport. Four obstacles (two sliders, two kickers) gave riders of every level something to work toward on fully speed-adjustable runs, and the park hosted IWWF-sanctioned NZ Cable Nationals athletes through 2020. Operations stalled after the northern tower's anchor line was cut in a sabotage incident in early 2023, toppling the mast into the silted lagoon. The company remains registered and its AucklandNZ.com listing was refreshed in mid-2026, but no sessions have been confirmed since the damage — leaving the park's future uncertain while the council grapples with decades-overdue lagoon dredging.
